This year's Savannah Science Seminar build sessions will be April 14th and 21st at the Armstrong Atlantic chemistry lab. Come join us from 7pm-9pm as we build six I-powered egg lofters with thirty 11th grade students. We will be flying all six rockets at the National Sport Launch in Orangeburg on May 24th.
We have received funding for the 2007 Savannah Science Seminar. The launch will be May 5th in Orangeburg and all are welcome. The Science Seminar lunch will be at noon and team launches will begin at 2pm. There are twelve I-205 student flights planned plus at least two M, one K, and a number of J flights, and that's just what we know about. Come join us and our Orangeburg friends for a great day of flying!
Sharc president Chuck Walden qualified for his Level 2 at the last Rosco-sponsored club launch in Orangeburg. Flying his custom 8.5 foot tall Piranha on a J350, Chuck completed all the steps necessary for a successful NAR Level 2. Congratulations Chuck! Welcome to High(er) Power Rocketry, now get out your wallet!
The Savannah Science Seminar launch on May 13 was another huge success. All six student teams and their parents joined us at the ROSCO launch in Orangeburg. The weather was perfect and the skies were clear. This year all of the rockets were recoverd and about half of the eggs survived the day. Daniel Langone thrilled the crowd with the annual M launch and Chuck Walden certified Level 2.
